Important information about unpaid fines and membership dues
We make every effort to work with members to establish payment plans or accomodate hardships, but we cannot allow unpaid fines or membership dues to accumulate beyond a reasonable amount of time. We will enforce this policy by following required legal procedures. Members may be liable for attorneys fees associated with collection of outstanding debts. The law allows a lien to be placed on a member's property after a certain amount of time. Having a lien in place will prevent the property from being sold. In extreme cases, when liens are ignored, the association may force foreclosure. Please be aware of this and act appropriately if you are not up to date on payments. Contact Fitchwood Management immediately if your account is not current.
Spring Weeds
Most of our members take good care of their lawns and we all appreciate the hard work that makes it enjoyable to live in our community and protects our property values. Unfortunately, there are a few members that ignore weed problems in their lawns. This is unfair to the majority that work diligently to maintain their lawns. Starting in the summer of 2009, the board and architectural control committee has authorized a program to control weeds in problem lawns.
If members do not attend to weeds in their lawns, they will receive a letter from Fitchwood Management informing them that they need to control their weeds. The member may opt to contract with a professional to provide control or do it themselves. Reinspection will occur 30 days after the first notice. If weeds are not controlled at that time, the association will hire a professional to provide control at the member's expense.
