The pool pump has shut down again and the warranty service technician has been called. The pump is brand new (07/2008) and is the best on the market but for some reason this unit will not stay running. It has been serviced once already and had its circuit board replaced. Also, the pool lights shorted out last night. The problem has been identified and is currently being fixed. We need both of these repairs completed before the City Inspector will reopen the pool. Please, understand that we are managing these problems as fast as we can and we know you are as frustrated as we are about this situation. We will resolve this as fast as is possible.

The pool pump problems have been resolved. The filters are working and the water chemistry and clarity are good. The pool should reopen on Tuesday June 23. All we are waiting for is the Health Inspectors release.

The City of Plano Health Department closed the community pool this morning. The pool was closed because the second pump was not working and there was an algae growth occurring in the pool. Additionally, the childrens pool was not circulating because of the shut down pump. We are aware of all the problems and currently have the pool contractor working the various fixes. We will attempt to correct the problem with the City Inspector as quickly as possible and get the pool back in working order.

 

We apologize for the interruptions this has caused in the enjoyment of the pool. The pool is 15 years old and we have replaced equipment as needed throughout the years but this year everything has failed at once. Please, bear with us and we will correct the problems as quickly as possible.

THE POOL UPDATE

The pool was cleaned on Monday June 15, they will be out again on June 18. The second pump has been repaired and will be restarted on Thursday morning. At this time they will also treat and vacuum the pool. The weather has been so warm that without proper filtration the algae level has increased since Monday's cleaning.
